Because I haven't done lawn care for the past 3 months, I recently spent a couple of hours pulling out weeds in the backyard while listening to rap music. It was exhausting but therapeutic. I also developed a deep appreciation for gardeners and lawn care specialists across the world for the extremely hard work that they do. While gardening or de-weeding, you don't have to worry about your day to day life things when you're busy pulling one weed after another. There's also a meditative aspect because of the zen simplicity it does to your mind to just focus on one thing and ponder about your life. I felt completely different de-weeding compared to the screen time that takes part of our everyday lives. Not only is it great exercise, and helps you clean your yard, but it gave me a deep appreciation of what weekly maintenance can do in one's life. If you let go for a couple of months, whether it's your health, finances, or your yard in this example... it takes a lot more work to get back on track. On the other hand, if you had done weekly maintenance, it helps you a lot more to stay on track on your budget, being in shape, or having a clean looking yard.
The other thing that I wanted to mention was that reading company 10Ks is free practical knowledge about that company's industry, and keeps your mind fresh if you like learning. I used to throw them away when I got them in the mail, but I now realize that they can be a real interesting read. Stay safe in this pandemic!
