Save your vacation hours and use them after you get a raise and get paid at a higher rate.4/17/2017 Recently, I took a 48 hour vacation (equivalent of 6 days) from my corporate job.
I was surprised when I took a look at my pay stub that my days were paid at a new higher hourly rate since I received an incremental inflation adjusted hourly raise shortly before I went on vacation. This only happened because my company allows us to accumulate 1.5 times your yearly balance of vacation hours before they must be used. Thus, you are able to accumulate and store a small amount of hours at a lower salary and then use those vacation hours at a future date where you may be paid more per hour. If your company requires you to use all your vacation hours in a given year, then you likely won't be able to save your vacation hours and get paid at a higher rate. This was the cherry on top from my fantastic vacation!

If you're an Iphone, Ipad, or Apple device user and have an account through the App Store, you can use an iTunes gift card to pay for your Netflix subscription. iTunes gift cards are constantly on sale at Costco, Staples, Walmart, etc. You would be able to find a $100 iTunes Gift Cards for $85 or a $200 iTunes Gift Cards for $165. That's anywhere from 15% to 17.5% off a regular Netflix subscription. Since almost everybody I know has cut the cord and uses Netflix religiously, this would be a good deal. Happy show binging and enjoy! |
